Portfolio Reviews at Roski
All applicants are encouraged to come in for a personal portfolio review with a Roski School admissions counselor. This is the best way to learn about the art programs and the unique opportunities at USC, tour the art studios and feel what it is like to be a student here. Individual portfolio reviews are scheduled Monday-Friday between 9-11am or 2-4 pm. Please contact Penelope Jones at penelope@usc.edu for an appointment. Portfolio reviews can also be scheduled after a Meet USC program (see below).
Portfolio Forum
Sunday, November 23, 2008, 1:00pm to 4:00pm
USC Roski School of Fine Arts
Watt Hall 118
A special afternoon Portfolio Forum for prospective freshmen (high school seniors) will be held in conjunction with the Discover USC event on Sunday, November 23 (see below). An admission representative and studio faculty members will be on hand to offer guidance for portfolio submissions. Students should bring three easily portable pieces of 2-D artwork to be critiqued including drawing, painting, mixed media, photography and/or graphic design. We will be unable to critique time-based or interactive digital work at this time. Due to space constrictions, this event is limited to student applicants only; during the Portfolio Forum, family and friends are free to participate in the other campus activities scheduled for that day.
Separate reservations are encouraged by Registering Today Online or by contacting the Roski School at 213.740.ARTS (2787).
General USC Programs

The agenda for the day includes admission information sessions, financial aid information sessions, tours of the campus and the neighborhood around USC, and a student panel. Meet USC
In order to experience life on the USC campus, we recommend that all applicants attend a three-hour Meet USC program held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with morning and afternoon sessions. This program includes a general admissions presentation, a student-led walking tour and, if desired, an individual portfolio review with a representative from the Roski School of Fine Arts.
Encounter USC
For those with a minimum amount of time to spare Encounter USC on Tuesdays and Thursdays with morning and afternoon sessions offers a shorter version of Meet USC, with a campus tour and a brief admission presentation. Departmental visits are not included in this activity.
Off-Campus Receptions
For those unable to travel to Los Angeles, USC will hold Off-Campus Receptions with general information for prospective freshmen in various metropolitan areas across the United States, including one in Hong Kong, during the month of October. Unfortunately, there will be no Roski representative at these events.
